PAID FOR IN FULL FOR A GLASS OF MILK!!!

One day a poor boy went begging from door to door to feed his hungry stomach. He knocked on a door & a lovely lady opened, instead of asking for food he asked for a glass of water. The woman thought he looked hungry so she brought him a glass of milk, after drinking he said “thank you,i owe you” She replied “you owe nothing,no payment needed for act of kindness” he said “then i thank you from my heart”….. Years later that woman became critically ill that the doctors baffled as they couldn’t cure her,so specialists were called to study the rare illness.Dr Haward Kelly who was called for consultation immediately recognised the woman. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life & after along struggle, the battle was won.Dr Kelly requested the bill be passed to him for approval,he looked at the huge bill & wrote something on it,then the bill was sent to the lady’s room. The lady feared opening it as she knew the bill could take a life time to pay off. When she eventually opened it,she noticed something written on the edge of the note “PAID FOR IN FULL FOR A GLASS OF MILK”.Tears filled her as she immediately remembered the rugged dirty skinny boy who knocked on her door . My dear friends, family &my loved ones always remember that every act of kindness you sow doesn’t bounce back,it reproduces itself, not necessarily before your eyes but it always does even to your next generation. “THE HEART YOU SAVE TODAY CAN BE YOURS TOMORROW THROUGH KINDNESS.WHAT WILL YOU BE REMEMBERED FOR WHEN YOU LEAVE THIS EARTH?”

Jesus is Watching

Jesus is Watching You!

Here’s a funny story that you should get a laugh out of =)

A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around, looking for valuables, and when he picked up a CD player to place in his sack, a strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying, “Jesus is watching you.”

He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight out, and froze. When he heard nothing more after a bit, he shook his head, promised himself a vacation after the next big score, then clicked the light on and began searching for more valuables.

Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard, “Jesus is watching you.”

Freaked out, he shone his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice. Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.

“Did you say that?” He hissed at the parrot.

“Yep,” the parrot confessed, then squawked, “I’m just trying to warn you.”

The burglar relaxed. “Warn me, huh? Who in the world are you?”

“Moses,” replied the bird.

“Moses?” the burglar laughed. “What kind of people would name a bird Moses?”

“The kind of people that would name a Rottweiler, Jesus.”

Becoming Like Jesus

Becoming Like Jesus by David Qaoud

How do we become more like Christ?

I’m going to give you the answer right away: we become like Jesus by beholding him, not by imitating him.

Paul writes to the Corinthians, “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed. . .” (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Do you know what it means to behold something? It means to look at; to see; to observe; to view. Paul wants the Corinthians to be amazed at what Jesus has done for them. He wants them to stare at the glory of God until they see it. And and in the midst of doing that, they become more like Christ. That’s how transformation happens: by being amazed at the Person and work of Jesus Christ.

In our Christian culture, we often stress obeying but we rarely encourage beholding. The popular saying in our culture is “What would Jesus do?”. That’s great, but before we think about “What would Jesus do?” let’s be amazed at “What has Jesus done?”. Before we get caught up in the work of God, let’s be amazed at the God of work. Astonishment of the gospel should always precede activity for the gospel.

“I looked at Christ, and the dove of peace flew into my heart. I looked at the dove. . . and it flew away.” – Charles Spurgeon

Look at Christ and you will change. And you can bet on that.

Gold Tooth

Gold Tooth

By

David Wright

“Dad?”

“Yes, dear.”

“What did you get for Christmas?”

“What did I get for Christmas?” David put his spoon back into his ceral bowl and looked up into the air meditatively. “Oh, I got something very valuable. It cost about five hundred dollars.”

“Wow!” Sharon looked shocked. Her stuffed unicorn only cost twenty-two dollars and sixty-eight cents. “What was it?”

“A tooth.”

“A what?”

“A gold tooth. Don’t you remember? I was holding my cheek for a week before Christmas and I didn’t eat anything but yogurt.”

“Oh, yeah.” Sharon munched a few times on her Cheerios. “Does it hurt?”

“Does what hurt?”

“Your tooth, the gold one, I mean.”

“No. It feels quit nice, in fact, all smooth and soft.”

“Can I see?”

“Sure.” David opened his mouth and pointed to it with his index finger. He tried to say, “Right here,” but without the use of his tongue, it sounded more like two cave-man grunts. David closed his mouth and turned his attention back to his Cornflakes.

Sharon looked as if she just remembered something. “Mom says that we’re going to sell it?”

“What?”

“She says that when you die, we’re going to dig up your grave and take out your tooth, and then we’re going to sell it and keep the money.”

“Mom said that, did she?”

David looked at his wife across the breakfast table suspiciously. She looked back and smiled sweetly.

As was their custom every Sunday morning, the Wright family went off to church. The pastor delivered the standard post Christmas sermon about three wisemen visiting the baby Jesus and their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh, but the verse that stuck in David’s mind was…

The Farmer’s Son

This story is especially for those who have been through, or are currently going through hard times. It isn’t exactly a happy or uplifting story, but instead it is one that is supposed to make you think, to come to terms with the bad things that have happened and realize that things might not be quite so bad after all – that, in fact, things might be just as they are supposed to be. The expression ‘every cloud has a silver lining’ comes to my mind when I think of this story as it is basically a londer winded (and hopefully more illustrative and inspiring) way of saying the same thing.

Once upon a time in ancient China there was a farmer, who lived a simple life living off the land with his wife and only son, and ocassionally trading with his neighbours or taking extra produce to the local market. One day he was taking one of these occassional trips to the market and when he was just a couple of miles from his destination he ran into a group of bandits, who stole all his produce, beat him up, and left him with nothing. The farmer thought he must be very unlucky for this to happen to him, as he had never heard of bandits on that road before.

As he was already so close the farmer decided to continue on to the market, to see if he could find some help from a friend or distant relative at the market to treat his injuries, and perhaps get some rest before taking the long walk home. When he reached the market…
