If you’ve ever worked in the hospitality industry, at some point you have probably worked some sort of event.
If that’s the case, that means you got a peek inside the ridiculous world of events – whether it be weddings, charity functions, or a corporate barbecue, you know just how crazy things can get.
One of the Groomsmen making out with the Bride in the coat closet? Sure.
Guest speaker too drunk to make the featured speech? Of course.
Centerpieces explode because the floating candles are to close to the glass? Absolutely.
Part of being an event professional is keeping a straight face while this is all going on – until we get to the bar later! Then all hell breaks loose as we begin to swap stories about crazy events and bridezillas.
The problem is that for the most part, if you are an event professional, the bulk of the time you see others like yourself is, well, during an event – when you are supposed to be keeping that straight face!
That’s why we started Caterlife! Caterlife is a place for us wedding planners, caterers, photographers, and florists to get together and share some of the silly things we’ve experienced, along with maybe sharing some wisdom with newcomers.
